Bucket School

A few weeks ago in Science, we were introduced to Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC) and the Bucket School technique. Throughout the lesson, we each took part in three activities that could be structured for different year groups and key stages that covered multiple areas of the National Curriculum. This was greatly beneficial as it enabled me to gain familiarity with the LOtC concept through hands on experience. I believe the technique is greatly beneficial to pupils because of the hands on aspects as well as manipulation of the learning environment is an effective tool within Primary education. Upon reflection of the session we received,  I determined that I would love to explore this technique further whilst on Professional Practice, if presented with the opportunity, as I feel believe it would benefit my personal professional development in addition to its effectiveness as a method to implement within the Primary Classroom.
